Hurricane Ike left thousands with severe home damage in Texas. Ms. Risher’s home in Independence Heights was severely damaged by the storm. Ms. Risher’s home represents benchmark home #275 in the City of Houston’s recovery program. We wish Ms. Risher many happy years in her new home.

First Hurricane Disaster Home Goes to Happy New Owner

A Raymondville resident whose old house was battered by tropical storm Dolly is now the recipient of the first free house built as part of a hurricane recovery project. Norma Lopez’s home on 410 W. Wood Ave. is now brand new built at a cost estimated at $100,000.

JWTC Builds New Home in 22 Days for Resident

In just 22 days, James W Turner Construction built a new home for Domingo Martinez and his family. Domingo’s home was the first house finished in Round 2 of the City of Galveston’s Hurricane Ike Disaster Recovery Program. CEO J.W. Turner, URS Program Manager Kelly Huck, and Galveston Mayor Lewis Rosen were able to give Domingo his keys on April 8th.

Doing the Heavy Lifting

Hurricane Sandy left thousands devastated in New York. This elevation of a five unit townhome complex in Staten Island, NY is the largest residential elevation in all of New York City.

JWTC Supports Area Communities
